Welcome to Westminster's Only Producer Only Farmers Market!

Welcome to the website of the DowntownWestminster Farmers Market.  Our market is a producer only market, meaning that 100% of all items sold have been grown by the farm that is representing each stand. You might ask, 'why is this important?'.  The answer is because by being locally grown you get the freshest product available.  You also can inquire about how the food was grown (pesticide use, etc.) and simply chat with the farmer.  Buying at producer only markets also is about the best thing you can do to strengthen the local food economy and ensure that these farmers will be there for generations to come.

Where are we?

You can find us at the Conaway Municipal Parking Lot on Route 27, across from the High's/Citgo store, approximately 2 blocks from the intersection of Main Street and Rt 27 in Downtown Westminster.  We are open on Saturdays, May 31st through November 22nd, from 8 am to 12 pm.   For detailed directions, contact Stan Ruchlewicz, SRuchlewicz@westgov.com.

Simply In Season Cookbook & The Simply In Season Kids Cookbook -$20.00 each.

Learn to use all the fresh, seasonal produce you get at the market!  These fantastic cookbooks compile wonderfully simple recipes according to the four seasons of harvest.  Also look for reflective quotes and antecdotes regarding food.

The children's version takes kids into the garden, out to harvest, and back into the kitchen with wonderful information about different vegetables and great recipes designed for them to do it themselves.  Fosters an appreciation of where food comes from - a most valuable resource.  Lots of fun facts about veggies, too.
